Animals, Music and Art

No, I am not aged out of wanting to be a superhero. Despite the controversial, speculative, socialistic and even childish context of Animals, I love the Art-Rock. Perhaps, the music reminds me of earlier favorites of Scorpions sort. Animals video became the winner when in Dec 12′ Muse launched a competition with Genero.tv asking people to produce the music video for the song. Animation artists from Portugal Inês Freitas and Miguel Mendes created the art. Pretty awesome, all: the art, the music, and the engaging idea of social creativity and public vote, which all resulted in this awesome piece:

The early draft of Emergence book by Steven Johnson, the American Popular Science author, had subtitle: “Emergence: What the New Science Can Teach Us About Our Minds, Our Communities, and Ourselves.” changing it later to “Emergence: The Connected Lives of Ants, Brains, Cities, and Software.” The book was published in 2001, and so the Wikipedia project, a free web-based, collaborative online reference. Both are Ten-Year Old Babies this year!
